Tripotassium citrate monohydrate (E332) is the potassium salt of citric acid, combining potassium fortification with acidity regulation. It replaces sodium salts in reduced-sodium formulations, sports drinks and functional foods to lower overall sodium content.

Selection and Handling Notes

• Potassium content differs from sodium salts; convert additions on a potassium-equivalent basis.
